The above picture just about sums me up in a nutshell.

When I'm not at university, I'm writing for freelance projects and when I'm not doing either of those, I'm either sleeping or eating. So, after finally realising I've gained a lot more weight than I ever wanted to, I decided that my new years resolution would be to sort it out. What is that I here you say? "Shannon you set that resolution every year and you're not getting any thinner!" Well, thank you voice in my head, but this year I feel more determined than ever to lose the tub, for myself for once, rather than everyone else.

I, like most other people, hate the word "DIET" and always feel like I'm restricting myself from every food but lettuce. So, I decided to re-word my resolutions this year to sway from the fact that I am in fact going through a tough diet and exercise regime.

Therefore, my resolutions are as follows:

  1. Eat clean
  2. Put a pound in my AMAZING ARIEL money box every time I go to the gym (which in hindsight should help me save money too.)
  3. Train myself to run in preparation for the Sunderland Color Run in July
  4. BE HAPPY (cliché, I know. *vomits*)

I know the whole diet and exercise thing seems a bit typical for a new years resolution but hey - I will ride the bandwagon right through to sassytown if it means I'll be healthier and less plump!

In regards to the Color Run, I AM SO EXCITED TO DO IT. It is literally the perfect motivation for me to get off my bum and do something - plus who doesn't want to get covered in paint whilst running through a sea of people?!

Let me know what your resolutions are for this year and if you've broke any of them yet.
I'm still going strong, so far!
