Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane Dupes

I'd like to introduce you to my new love.

I've been a shoe lover ever since I can remember and recently I've been loving all the boots, both designer and high street, with the "cut-out" style.

My favourite cut-out style, is the weirdly wonderful Jeffrey Campbell coltrane boot, in white initially. Now, as I'm a student, I don't have money to be throwing around on expensive shoes, however much I'd like to.
So, I had to search for a cheaper alternative. I've been looking for the perfect pair for around a month now and just couldn't find some I really loved. However, I did find these ones from River Island and really really liked them. However, I'm not really a "gold" kinda girl, and the gold on the buckles is really quite a yellow toned gold. So, I kept them on hold but carried on looking. After walking around my local shopping centre for around 3-4 hours huffing and puffing, I finally walked past Garage Shoes: a shop I haven't been in since I was a child.

I spotted my boots sat on the shelf and speedily waddled into the shop. They only had one size left and it was a 6. Perfect. The buckles on the shoe are more of a gun metal shade and I absolutely adore them. But what I loved even more was the £25 price tag. Amazing.

I've not taken the boots off of my feet since buying them and even bought some frilly socks to accompany them. I understand they're not to everyone's taste and look a bit like the Piedro shoes used for orthopedic correcting (as the adults in my family keep telling me) but I love them and I'm never one to care about other's opinions anyway, ha! Plus, I've noticed a lot of boots recently seem to have the "unflatteringly flattering" look.

What do you think?
Pretty punk or too Piedro?
