Sophia Webster: A shoe wonderland

You've probably already heard of her by now but if you haven't: luckily I'm here to fill you in. Who am I talking about? Only the amazing brain child of Nicholas Kirkwood - Miss Sophia blooming Webster!

"Immediately following her graduation from the Royal College of Art, she decided to take an offer from Nicholas Kirkwood to become his first assistant designer, with the promise that he would help her launch her own collection after working with him for 2 years."

Admittedly, since strutting around in my big platform "Spice Girl" shoes at the age of six, I've been a bit of a shoe addict, building up quite a hefty collection over the years, including the likes of my denim clogs (yes, I did own a pair once upon a time - VOM), jelly shoes, my first pair of heels, my thigh high boots that I wore around my chubby 14-year old legs and to now, my trusty (not-so) white converse.

Since starting University last year, I've pretty much neglected my heels, as most girls at university will learn, the floors in student nightclubs are not the cleanest floors to wear your best pair of heels on. And if you live in the North East like me and have been on a night out to Newcastle, you will learn very soon that heels are a huge NO NO. #cobblewobble

However, as I'm a third of my way through my degree studying Fashion Journalism, I've obviously been thinking about my graduation outfit already. Is that normal for a fashion student? I think so.

When planning my graduation outfit, straight away I knew I would have to have my shoes as the main focus as the hideous black grad gowns will be covering the outfit for the majority of the day anyway. So, initially I thought I would save for the rest of my student life to afford a pair of Christian Louboutin's and even though I would still want a pair (who wouldn't?), I am IN LOVE with Sophia Webster's shoe collection. Her designs are right up my street and I am absolutely determined to wear a pair of her shoes on graduation day.

Ideally these ones with a bright white dress, if anyone's feeling generous...

Take a look at the new A/W13 collection on the Sophia Webster website now.
You won't regret it.

What would be your ideal pair of designer shoes?
